I recently stayed at a lovely retreat nestled in nature. The location was perfect, allowing easy access to town by foot and offering breathtaking views from the deck. The host, Tim, was friendly and provided helpful recommendations for local activities. The chalet accommodations were cozy, clean, and well-maintained. I loved waking up to the sight of kangaroos grazing outside. the experience exceeded my expectations and I would definitely stay here again.

The only minor drawback was the occasional lack of TV reception in the mornings.

From the adorable exterior to the jaw-dropping stargazing right outside the backyard, our stay here was mind-blowing! The warm and well-maintained A-frame provided a comfortable retreat with a fully equipped kitchen, powerful shower, and cozy beds. Tim, the best host ever, went above and beyond with his enthusiasm and hospitality. The peaceful location, with kangaroo visits, free parking, and easy access to hiking and cycling paths, made our trip super enjoyable. We highly recommend this place to everyone!

This place was awesome! It had everything we needed as women traveling alone. The property was clean and cozy, with a well-equipped kitchen for cooking meals. The highlight was definitely the spa, perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. The owner was super nice and helpful, giving us great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. We'll definitely stay here again next time we're in town!

Felt like being home, no complaints.

The A-Frame Chalet was absolutely stunning, with jaw-dropping beauty that took our breath away. The close proximity to wildlife was mind-blowing, with kangaroos grazing right in the garden. The location was super convenient, just a stone's throw away from the Grampians National Park. The owner was incredibly lovely and welcoming, even greeting us with a deliciously cold bottle of wine. The chalet itself was spacious and fully furnished, with a luxurious bubble bath in the master bedroom. The bathroom was wonderfully spacious and the shower was great. The map provided at the property was a fantastic bonus, helping us plan our daily adventures. We couldn't have asked for a better host than Tim, who went out of his way to make sure we had a warm and comfortable stay. it was a fabulous weekend getaway, and we are already itching to come back for a longer stay. Highly recommended for a unforgettable experience!

The A-Frame Chalet was worth every penny, with amazing value for money. The room was spacious and had everything I needed, just like home. The location was perfect, surrounded by breathtaking views of the Grampians, and Tim, the host, went above and beyond to make my stay special.

Breakfast items could have been improved with more variety.

Enjoyed the free Wi-Fi and the use of bicycles. Grilled some delicious food on the outdoor BBQ deck while soaking up the stunning views. MacKenzie Falls was just a short drive away, perfect for an adventurous day out.

Who needs a noisy library when you can hear everyone's business through the thin walls? So peaceful!

loved the Woodwork factory/showroom next door, friendly owner provided great local advice, and heavenly breakfast at Livefast Cafe. Felt like being in the wilderness but close to town. Wildlife sightings were a bonus. Tim, thank you for going above and beyond, making our stay warm, comfortable, and memorable.

My recent stay at the A-Frame in Halls Gap was fantastic. The location was perfect, nestled in the heart of nature with kangaroos and emus roaming nearby. The house itself was spacious and had great facilities, including a full kitchen and a cozy backyard with a BBQ and fire pit. The complimentary wine on arrival was a pleasant surprise. I especially enjoyed exploring the area and the nearby boardwalk. I highly recommend this hotel for a nature-filled getaway.

Spacious and well-appointed accommodation, with a comfortable lounge room and good-sized bathroom. Great location with a nice outlook and a peaceful atmosphere. the property offered a lovely bottle of wine, which was a nice touch and added to the overall experience.

There was a misunderstanding regarding the bed arrangement, resulting in extra fees for additional linen. It would have been helpful to have emergency candles or a torch/lamp available during the blackout, as well as an off switch for the front porch light, which disturbed light-sensitive sleepers.

The main bedroom at The A-Frame was a dream come true. It had a spa bath where I could unwind and relax after a long day of hiking or just to chill. It was pure bliss!

The only downside for me was that the bathroom in the 2-bedroom chalet only had a shower. I personally prefer having a bath option, but I understand that others might still enjoy the shower.

I had a fantastic stay at this A-Frame in Halls Gap. The property looked exactly like it did in the pictures and had a unique and romantic design. The cottage was clean and tidy, and the owner, Tim, was really nice and always willing to help. He even helped us set up a campfire when we texted him in the evening. The location was perfect, with beautiful scenery and kangaroos in the backyard. a fantastic stay and I would definitely recommend it to friends.

    All was good.
